I talk to bugs and people I can't see.

I think trees have feelings and paint what I feel coming from all around us.

My family is tolerant and curious.

I largely paint abstract portraiture (humans or animals), but will escape to abstract compositions for my own emotional relief. An abstract piece provides respite from the intensity of feelings created during those figurative 'discussions'. It provides a technical work space to play with form and color without intent or judgement.
I've been painting professionally over 25 years and teaching for 12.
My work and aspirations continue to evolve, gain momentum and

have taken on a life of their own.
I remain ever humbled as I watch over and tend to this little garden
